Scott Robinson is the founder of the annual PFFC spring sand volleyball tournament that started in 2020. In April 2022, Scott unexpectedly left this world.

The annual tournament was founded in Spring 2020 by Scott Robinson, a Peoria Firefighter, to raise money in support of Peoria firefighters, their families, and the community. In April 2022, Scott lost his battle with mental health and left us way too soon. Scott’s goal was to hold the tournament twice each year in the spring and fall season. To continue this legacy, his partner Natalie Swanson, is working with PFFC to host the tournament, now in his name. Watch the video interview below with Natalie as she talks about Scott’s legacy.

The tournament helps the community come together to support mental health and suicide awareness and is a way to remember loved ones no longer with us. It’s a great day of family fun! This year will be much more than a volleyball tournament.

Join for activities for the whole family while remembering your loved ones – rock painting, bracelet making, and face painting. There will be mental health and suicide prevention partners providing information and help to anyone in need, including fire partners, along with a live speaker. Join us for lunch as well! Schwab’s BBQ will be bringing their food cart between 10am-3pm. We are planning on having live music and PFFC merch available for purchase. There will also be a prize raffle held after the tournament. $5/ticket or $20 for 5 tickets. We look forward to seeing you and your family on Sunday, October 1, 2023, from 8:30am–approx. 4pm! Rio Vista Community Park 8866 W Thunderbird Rd, Peoria, AZ 85381

All proceeds made at the tournament benefit Billy’s Place, a non-profit providing grief support to kids and families and the 100 Club of Arizona, a non-profit providing mental health support to firefighters and safety officers and their families.
